What is a glitch effect?
A glitch effect imitates a broken digital signal. The red and blue channels drift apart, horizontal slices of the picture jump sideways and bright noise lines flash across the frame. This glitch camera animates the effect live, so every photo you take freezes a different glitch, and you can apply it to uploaded photos too. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Glitch effect FAQ
Is the glitch effect free?
Yes. Use the live glitch camera or upload as many photos as you like and download them for free, without a watermark.
Why does the glitch change every time?
The pattern is randomized and changes several times a second, so each photo catches a unique glitch. Take a few, or press New variation, and keep your favorite.
Can I glitch a photo I already have?
Yes. Click Upload a photo and pick a JPG, PNG or WebP image. The effect is applied in your browser.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in Safari and Chrome on iPhone and Android, with the front or back camera.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Your camera feed and photos are processed on your device and never sent to a server.
